If I stayed home if I just stayed focusing on my homework if I listen to my teacher then I would be ok. I was so scared and I felt abandoned and I was terrified for what was coming. The only thing I remember is that A man came up to my but it could be a man or a alien. I was a my school I felt down I looked everywhere there were papers and  broken pencil but I heard something it was like called out to my so I followed it. I scaredly went to open the that the sound of someone weirdly called out to me. I felt chills going down my spine. I was tightening my fist and scratching my my hair like I had nits and I felt like I was a man. I was finally out but it was not the end.

Somalia
I was asleep in my cold dark room. It was as dark as a black cat.  it was    3am  in the morning and it was time for my yummy breakfast. Golden thin pancakes, bacon, eggs, and tuna. 6am in the morning I had my breakfast but I still was not full so I made made a coffee.

I was looking out to sea and I could hear the cold blue water splashing right on the ship, the cabin crew saw something in the glimpse out in the sea I grabbed my binoculars so I could see what was happening.

I saw these people on a boat coming to the ship. We all hid under a table but they were not just people they were pirates, I push one of the cabin crew out under the table so he could find the pirates.

He ran down the stairs but I could hear something, well someone, he told him to get on his knees then I heard a BANG!. All of us were terrified I heard the sound of someone coming up the stairs . I could hear the sound of the pirates coming up stairs getting louder and louder.

They made it up to the cabin the pirate said ‘’Come out from under the tables.’’ We got out and he said to open the containers. I opened them they had robots inside. One jumped very high and smashed the window then the robot said ‘’boo’’, every pirate was running and falling into the water. One of the robots gave me my hat then we went back to work.

The Moa

The Moa

This task is about reading to find information and make inferences. Read the article below then answer the questions that follow.

Nobody today has seen a live moa – the bird is extinct.

The things we know about the moa come from accounts left by people who saw it in the past, and from the studies of scientists.File:Moa skeleton.JPG

Thousands and thousands of moas have lived and died here, but their bodies have all rotted away long ago. In order to find out how the moa looked and lived, scientists must study the things which are still left – mainly bones.

As well as the bones, people often find little heaps of stones which came from the bird's gizzard. The moa swallowed these stones to help grind up its food. And in very dry parts of New Zealand, people have even found skin and feathers, still stuck to dried-up moa bones.File:Hunting Moa - rotated.jpg

If you have been to a museum, you may have seen a model of a moa. The model has been built by using all this information as a guide.

Model-building is not very difficult to do. We have lots of moa bones. If you put a set of bones together to make a skeleton, you then have a shape of the bird.

There are places on the bones which show where the muscles should go. You can model the muscles from a plastic material and put them on to the skeleton. Then you put a skin over it.Other resolutions: 160 × 240

It is more difficult to find the right sort of feathers. Most models use emu feathers. The moa feathers which have been found look soft and droopy, like emu feathers. But they have more colour than those of the emu – they are golden-brown, with a purple streak down the middle.

Even so, these feathers may be faded. Some early Maori, who were asked about moas, said that they had bright, bright feathers. It may be that the moa was more brightly coloured than the models that you see in the museum.

7. Why would moa skin and feathers only be found in 'very dry' parts of New Zealand?
Moa skin and feathers only be found in 'very dry' parts of New Zealand because  if they were getting chase they would by hiding in a hot place in New zealand so if someone tried to attack a moa they would die because it was so hot. But if the moa stay there to long they will rotten and they will die.
